Graduate Studies Opportunity

In a rare event the University of Toronto has contacted us, the TWU Biology Club, in an effort to "recruit the best students from across Canada" for their graduate school! It's a very special event when the graduate schools come to YOU to ask for your applications, almost always it's us trying to get into their schools. The University of Toronto is one of the top research schools in the nation and it is truly an honour to be asked by them to provide applicants. They are looking for students to do their M.Sc. or Ph.D. studies. Here is an exerpt from the e-mail sent to us:

" Our department has more than 80 faculty members, which include many of Canada’s top researchers in the fields of cancer, developmental biology, stem cells, computational biology, human genetics, model organism genetics, functional genomics, structural biology, and infectious disease. Our research-based graduate program offers world-class training in all of these fields. We are situated in downtown Toronto at the main campus of the University and at neaby research institutes housed at the Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Sinai Hospital."

The main area of research being pushed there currently is in the field of molecular genetics, so if this interests you be sure to find more information online at www.moleculargenetics.utoronto.ca. All applications for the graduate school can be accessed here as well. The early deadline for applications for the FALL OF 2011 is January 15, 2011.
